Working for local award winning design agency CDD and for their client TMD Friction, world leaders in braking technology, Splash Display were asked to produce and install a 20 sq m interactive display booth at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu.

The brief was to strip and re-work the space, including fitting new Amtico flooring, dressing the ceiling and creating new walls to support full colour digitally printed graphics. To this, we applied roundel LED light boxes which stood proud of the wall and showed key stages in the history of braking throughout the last 100+ years. To make the experience more engaging to visitors, CDD designed and built three web based interactive ‘touch’ presentations using latest parallax, video and animation technologies.

Finally, some funky LED systems were employed to create a Traffic Light matrix at either side of the booth, designed to make people stop & take notice and a pulsing DNA strobe ran throughout the display, again catching the eye. The display was fully manufactured and installed using our team of highly experienced installers, with a view that the install should last in excess of 5 years. The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu entertains over 400,000 visitors each year and is the premier museum to visit if you are interested in anything automotive.
